Bluewater Shopping Centre

Project Description: Bluewater is an out-of-town shopping centre in Kent. It opened in 1999, has a sales floor area of 1.6 million sq ft over 3 levels, making it the fifth largest shopping centre in the UK.

In April 2021, Link CCTV Systems completed an upgrade of the shopping centre’s security systems which included a range of new cameras and a completely new software platform for over 500 cameras. This was completed with no down time to the client’s monitoring system, with no impact to customers, and during the challenging re-opening of the retail sector.

This new system provides a powerful set of tools, enabling operators to manage a vast network of cameras with minimal effort, thus better protecting the public and tenants in the shopping centre.
