Bluewater Shopping Centre Solar Powered Cameras

Project Description: Bluewater is an out-of-town shopping centre in Kent. It opened in 1999, has a sales floor area of 1.6 million sq ft over 3 levels, making it the fifth largest shopping centre in the UK.

At Link CCTV Systems, we pride ourselves on supplying and installing the latest technology, meeting the exact needs of our clients. In fact, it’s in our mission statement, and during our latest project, this was no different.

Our client, Bluewater Shopping Centre, has had recent problems with fly-tipping within their grounds, and therefore needed new security systems to prevent this. The chosen solution was to install 4 new Hikvision solar powered CCTV cameras, on 4 newly erected columns. The solar powered cameras were a more economical solution due to the area they were monitoring being incredibly remote and with no local power sources.

The Projects Team begun the project by installing the 4 new WEC CCTV columns. This was followed by the installation of the new cameras, without the need to deploy cabling due to them operating via solar power and being connected to the control room via 4G.

The project ran smoothly, with our Projects Team completing the works on time and to the highest standard.
